What is Property Mates?
Property Mates is a one-stop shop for all property players, and we can assist you to accomplish anything in the property market. It's a one-of-a-kind platform that does not restrict you but rather provides you with options you did not know you needed!
Property Mates is also a social platform for everyone in the property community. A place to connect and build relationships that last a lifetime. With Property Mates, you decide on your budget and your preferred locations and then connect with like-minded property investors to purchase and co-own property together.
If you already own a property, Property Mates gives you the flexibility to sell a portion of it rather than having to sell the entire property (although you can do that on Property Mates too!). That means you can free up equity to meet your financial goals, but you can still retain percentage ownership of the property.
We also have a community where individuals can get assistance selling or purchasing a home. You can connect with buyers agents, mortgage brokers, insurance brokers, real estate agents, conveyancers, and quantity surveyors.

I’m ready to buy property. What happens now?
How exciting! Once you’re decided and ready to proceed with the property purchase process. Property Mates can help you connect with real estate experts that can help facilitate the buying process. Just go through our community section and choose from a list of our trusted buyers agents, mortgage brokers, insurance agents, quantity surveyors, and conveyancers.
What is a Group buy?
The 'Group Buy' icon indicates that a property is available as a group buy option. Group Buys allow you and other Property Mates to buy a certain percentage of a property together, as co-owners. The percentage of a property you can buy is indicated on the property listing.
Who is a Group Buyer?
The 'Group Buyer' icon indicates that a person is interested in entering a group buy with others.
How do I ask someone to join a group buy?
If you’re a Group Buy Admin and you’ve found someone who may be a good fit for your listing, you can send them a connection request. Go to the member’s profile and select Connect, then Send request. Once you’re connected, you can then choose to add the member to group buyers.
How do I join a group buy?
If you’ve found a property available for group buy and you’re interested in joining, you can request to join it by sending a connection request to the Group Buy Admin. Go to the property listing and select Connect or Show your interest. The Group Buy Admin can then either approve or reject the request. Once you’re connected with the Group Buy Admin, the Group Buy Admin can then add you to the Group Buyers. As a group buyer, you’ll be able to use the group chat to send a message or ask a question.
What’s the difference between joining an existing property available to group buy and creating a new property to group buy?
With Property Mates, you can join an existing property to group buy, or create a new one. An existing property available to group buy will already have a specific property linked to it, with at least one co-owner attached. The group buy icon will show the available portion (the percentage ownership that’s available to buy), the purchase price, and the other group buyers who own the property.
If you’re interested in purchasing a property that’s not already listed on Property Mates, you can create a new property listing available to group buy to find interested co-owners or group buyers. From the homepage, select Start my journey , then I'm Selling, add information about the property, decide on your budget (the amount you would like to contribute to the purchase of the property), then post your listing.
I want to sell my portion of a property, but the other co-owners want to keep their portion(s). Can I just sell my portion?
Absolutely! Property Mates makes it easy to buy and sell a portion of the property by helping you find like-minded property investors who share a similar vision. If you own a portion of a property and you want to sell it, you can create a listing by selecting Start my journey on the homepage, then I'm selling , then add the property information, the % ownership that’s for sale, and the price. Once your listing is live, interested group buyers can contact you to negotiate the sale.
How does the Property Mates wizard work?
A quick look at our community members and the wizard's capabilities may help you get the best deal on your next property purchase. To make sure that you don't miss out on a member of our community, our wizard will allow you to see their business details and then arrange a consultation. You may also minimize it and take it later so that you have the choice and reminder while you are exploring our website. At the conclusion of the wizard, you will be able to check all of your bookings and alter them if you choose.
In addition, you will be able to speak with someone via our wizard if you need assistance with anything, and we will respond as quickly as we can. Everything that you've done so far in the wizard will be available for you to review before you finish it.

What is a ‘forum’?
A forum is an open-ended discussion that can be used by a Property Mates member (buyer or seller) to ask a property-related question. Other members can provide answers, or share their experiences.
How do I know that other members, or their listings, are genuine?
To create an account, members must provide their email address and phone number, which are verified by the Property Mates team before the account is created. Members are also encouraged to upload a form of ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. Members who have included their ID with their account will earn a Golden Shield to demonstrate that they are fully verified.
The Property Mates team review all property listings before they go live on the platform to make sure they’re genuine. If you suspect that a member or listing does not meet our guidelines, please contact us and we will investigate.
